Jesus is warning his team
They must not despise others
Or he will turn against them
Which is worse than drowning!
They are strong workmen
Their strength can make them proud
They should make themselves weak
They can move easily
Their speed can make them proud
They should make themselves slow
They can see clearly
Their sight can make them proud
They should limit their eyesight
Pride is a dangerous sin
It leads down a road to Hell
God hates it
They must please God
Live to serve him
Live to serve others
This will be tested by God
Jesus acts against the proud
Jesus cares for the vulnerable
We must do the same
Giving up whatever stops us
