Safeguarding

Forest Baptist Church (FBC) is a small community of Christian people which conducts public services that others may visit. We aim to operate these services in a safe and valued way to those who access them. As part of this, we commit ourselves to preventing harm and promoting the welfare of all children, young people and vulnerable adults we serve. Our safeguarding policy, informed by the safeguarding laws of England, Wales, and Scotland, reflects this commitment.  In particular, the policy provides guidance and instructions which seek to:

  • Protect our members, their families, regular attenders at our meetings and one-off visitors to our meetings from harm, abuse and neglect
  • Handle effectively harm, abuse or neglect if they do occur, including providing support to those who experience them
  • Encourage a pattern of respectful behaviour within our membership
  • Ensure that those who are engaged in activities on behalf of the church are clear about their responsibilities and duties.
