Sermon Summary - Sunday 4 December 2022

Main Bible passage:  Mark 15:40-47

Jesus has died like no other man for in his final hours he has borne the full brunt of God’s curse in death and overcome it. Now he has breathed out his last breath and is gently removed, covered and laid to rest with honour in a tomb, ‘sleeping’ for a few hours until his Father awakens him. Which of his disciples get to observe all this? The women. They have served him faithfully ever since Galilee, generally unseen but helping him to do all he needs to do. Now they are privileged to be with him in his finest hour and see his glory. Humble service leads to great blessing.
