David has the upper-hand over Saul since he knows exactly where he is whereas Saul is in the dark. So, this time, David goes hunting for the king. However, the situation becomes a temptation when another with him offers to kill Saul in his sleep. They certainly have a remarkable opportunity to do so, since God has all the camp slumbering deeply. But David resists the words since it would not please the Lord. Instead, he takes a couple of items, exposes the failure of Saul’s general and pleads again for peace. When tempted to listen to worldly solutions to our troubles, we must close our ears and seek the Lord.
