People can change. Sometimes for the better. Sometimes for the worse. But if you want genuine change then it has to be by the power of the Lord. Only He can take away sin, transform the heart and cause you to live a truly righteous life. You and I don’t have it in us without Him. Here in 1 Samuel we see a small version of that type of transformation when the Lord passes Saul through a series of events in order to make him into the prince he’s called to be. The change is so striking that Saul’s name becomes a catchphrase. How much more should the difference Jesus makes to Christians be powerfully plain in their lives?
