The Philistines have learned a little about the Lord but there’s much they still get wrong. Sadly, the Israelites, despite all the information given to them, are just the same. So when the ark lands in a Levite village, things do not go well and some lose their lives. But the Philistines miss the lesson because their leaders have already gone home, thinking themselves successful. God is holy. He is different from us. We cannot treat that carelessly. We must learn of him from him.
