RISEN! – Life after Easter
Jesus Christ died young. He left behind no wealth. He wrote no books. For many in Jesus’ time, his court case and punishment put him to shame. And his remaining followers were mostly unimportant, and certainly scared.
Yet Jesus’ life and words are now heard and admired the world over. How did that happen? It was a miracle. One of his closest friends told his society: “You put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead.” (The Bible – Acts 2:23,24)
Christians remember this every Easter and it gives us great hope. Our world is painfully troubled by:
- its distance from God
- human misbehaviour
- the dark shadow of death.
But Jesus can deal with all three and his resurrection proves it. Jesus offers us life.
Let us tell you more.
