Wider links
Forest Baptist Church is an independent church rather than being a part of any denomination or formal network of churches. However, we are close friends with churches which are similar to ourselves (both nearby and further away) and take part in activities with them – some are shown below. We also list ourselves in the Grace Magazine Directory (see here and here).
Grace Baptist Assembly
The object of this national Assembly is “to provide fellowship in which churches of common faith may find mutual encouragement and counsel … The doctrinal standards of the Assembly are the London Confession of 1689 and the Baptist Affirmation of 1966.” Although a Baptist gathering, any other visitors are very welcome to come along to the Assembly.

East London Christian Library
Just up the road from us, in Walthamstow, at Central Baptist Church is the East London Christian Library. This library “was opened in September 2009. It is a free library, open to anyone in East London (or beyond) who wants to borrow Christian books … With over 2,000 books in stock, there’s sure to be something relevant to you.”

Hope Easter Conference
One of the local churches we have close links with is Hope Baptist Church in Forest Gate. As a result of this friendship our pastor, David Last, helps to organise an annual day conference which Hope Baptist host over the Easter weekend.
In 2011 the conference took place on Monday 25th April and had the title “The benefits of the local church“. The timetable for the conference is shown below. Please contact Hope Baptist for recordings of the talks.
